Startup India is a scheme of the Government of India to support startups and to encourage and motivate new budding entrepreneurs. First, announced by the Prime Minister of India on 15th August 2015, the campaign was launched on 16th January 2016 by them Finance Minister, Mr. Arun Jaitley. The event was attended by high ranking officials of business houses and startup entrepreneurs. Under Start-Up India the government has provided several loan schemes to support the startups.

Establishing a high-level, inter-ministerial panel has also been planned to create a friendly ecosystem to look after the innovation as well as evaluate startup proposals to ensure that whether they are qualified for incentives or not.
